1. Let food be thy medicine
Eat a plant-based nutrient-dense whole food diet with no added sugar, salt or oils. Limit high inflammatory foods such as animal protein, gluten, dairy and alcohol. Eat plenty of fresh green leafy vegetables, fruits (especially berries), beans, onions, nuts and seeds. I carefully read the labels on everything I eat. If I cannot pronounce any ingredient, I put the product back on the shelf.
Cautionary Observation: GMO Products do not have the Breath of Life!
2. Regular fasting
Fasting helps immunity with a process called autophagy. Essentially the new healthy cells eating the old sick cells. Generally, autophagy does not happen effectively until 16 to 18 hours of fasting. Consider intermittent fasting and/or 24-hour water fasting. I try to do a 16/8 intermittent fast 4 to 5 days a week and a 24–36-hour water fast once a week. If you do start a fast, please research the proper ways to break a fast. Otherwise, you will receive a one-way ticket to the town of Bubble Guts.
3. Proper hydration
Eat your water and drink your vegetables. The best source of hydration is eating plenty of whole fruits such as watermelon, strawberries and oranges while drinking vegetable juice. Fruit and vegetable smoothies are an excellent compromise. When drinking water, consider infusing with citrus fruit such as lemon wedges or orange slices.
4. Adequate Rest
When I was a Factory Worker on a Shift Schedule, I struggled with this immensely. I usually got 6 hours of rest a day. Sometimes (especially when working nights) I would only get four hours of rest. Now that I Am an Independent Contractor, I usually get 7 to 8 hours of rest every day. Refrain from using electronic devices in the bedroom while trying to sleep. Consider using a regular alarm clock. No last-minute checking social media or work emails. Torah Teaches and the MessiYaH Verified, Six Days of Work and One Day of Rest.
5. Exercise
Movement is Medicine. We are Designed to Move. One of the benefits of being an Independent Contractor is I get plenty of time in my schedule to exercise. Although I spend a lot of sitting in front of a computer, I try to take several breaks though my Workday. As an avid walker and hiker, I get good cardio. I attend small group strength training sessions three times a week at a locally owned and operated gym. Having low body fat and lean muscles helps fight disease.
6. Sunshine
Americans for various reasons are Vitamin D deficient. We tend to stay indoors. We need to take advantage of sunny days by going outside and getting fresh air and sunlight. Obviously during the summertime from 10 am to 4 pm use common sense. As an Independent Contractor, I spend plenty of time outdoors getting fresh air and sunshine. Particularly during Sunrises and Sunsets.
7. Nature
We are full of negative energy and should discharge as often as possible. We must be in direct contact with the Earth on a regular basis. Which is one of the reasons I camp nationwide all four seasons. Gardening is another effective way to ground. Or going barefoot in your backyard. Walking your dog on a bike trail. Reading a book at a park. Bird watching. Outdoor photography. Picnic lunches. Hiking. Stargazing. The list is endless. What is important is connecting with nature daily.
8. Stress Management
We all have to deal with stress. Some stress is good to inspire us to improve the situation of ourselves and family. Stress becomes a problem when we do not manage it effectively. I personally try to deal with stress by focusing on the Fun Facts I was Awesomely and Wondrously Made and Every Day is a Gift from the Most High Heavenly Father. I try not to get “wrapped around the axle” over things I have no control over. Praising and Praying; Reading Psalms, Proverbs and Good News; and Fellowship with Friends and Family are great stress relievers for me.
9. Forgiveness
Being able to forgive is another one I struggle with. As I get older, I have learned staying angry will eventually turn to bitterness. Which can lead to toxins building up. I try to forgive now. Revenge is no longer my first impulse. To be clear, I am not advocating being a door mat. If someone in your life continues to treat you wrongly, then perhaps forgive them, remove them from your life, and move on. But do not hold grudges. It is counterproductive. If you do what is Righteous before the Most High Heavenly Father, even your enemies will be at Peace with you.
10. Keeping things in perspective
The Mainstream Mockingbird Media is all about thought shaping and manipulating the masses. Worry can lead to fear. Fear can lead to panic. Panic will lead to the masses doing something (or accepting something) worse that the initial concern. Like forced quarantine camps or mandatory vaccinations. Take the necessary precautions and using common sense will keep you protected in most disasters. The Most High Heavenly Father is in FULL CONTROL.
11. Serving others
Another one I struggle with. I generally Serve Others by “rousting them from their slumber” whether they like it or not. Serving Others must be done in Love. When we help others, we also help ourselves. It makes us feel good. However, we must do it in a way that is actually helping and not hindering or enabling. This is how we build family and communities of families. Hatred stirs up strife; but Love covers all transgressions.
12. Whole Body Wellness
This should probably be number one. Focus on your Whole Body Wellness. Physical, Mental, Emotional and most importantly Spiritual. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood…” We are engaged in Spiritual Warfare. We must get our Spiritual House in order. Once you are, as my Beloved Departed Mother Dot would say, “Good with your Maker” everything else will fall in Alignment. If He is for us, who can be against us? And that is the Good News. Because His Kindness is Everlasting!
